Evening Prayer Friday August 27th 2021

Our prayers examine scripture and support our response in a prayerful and reflective way. Roberta leads Evening and Morning Prayer this week. Evening Prayer – Roberta encourages us to reflect on what we feel especially grateful for in the past day and prays with us; “Go forth into the world in peace; be of good courage; hold fast that which is good; render to no one evil for evil; strengthen the fainthearted; support the weak; help the afflicted; honour everyone; love and serve the Lord, rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit; and may the blessing of God almighty, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, be among you and remain with you always. Amen.”

Music: Kyrie from the Kilcreggan Mass. Recorded remotely by the Choral Scholars of St Martin-in-the-Fields Church in their homes, and edited together. Setting by Peter Nardone (1965 – ), Commissioned by the Royal School of Church Music to support churches to sing again, post COVID-19 Lockdown
