Evening Prayer Monday January 24th 2022

Our prayers examine scripture and support our response in a prayerful and reflective way. Naomi leads Evening and Morning Prayer this week – she encourages us to consider where we saw the presence of God today? Naomi’s final prayer tonight reminds us of our journey and those we meet and take our leave from; “May the road rise to meet you, may the wind be always at your back, may the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of his hand. Amen.”

Virgin Born We Bow Before Thee, written by Reginald Heber (1783 – 1826). Set to ‘Mon Dieu Prête Moi L’Oreille’, composed by L. Bourgeois c (1510 – 1561). Recorded remotely by the Choral Scholars of St Martin-in-the-Fields Church in their homes, and edited together.
