Evening Prayer Saturday November 13th 2021

Our prayers examine scripture and support our response in a prayerful and reflective way. Revd. Liz leads Evening and Morning Prayer this week. Evening Prayer – Liz reminds us to ask God to enlighten us, showing where God has been at work and present through events, people and places – she recites our Lord’s Prayer – echoing the words of Jesus; “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.’”

Music: Beati Quorum Via (Happy are they that are upright in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord)written & composed by Charles Villiers Stanford (1852 – 1924). Recorded remotely by the choral scholars of St Martin-in-the-Fields Church in their homes and edited together.
