Evening Prayer Thursday March 10th 2022

Our prayers examine scripture and support our response in a prayerful and reflective way. Rick is one of St Luke’s Church Wardens and he leads Evening and Morning Prayer this week. Evening Prayer – Rick prays with us and asks us if we paused today, and if we did where was God? Rick prays: Give us only your love and your grace oh Lord, that is enough for us. Amen.

We pray for world peace and for the people of Ukraine, and of Russia. We ask for wise decision-making and the moral integrity of all world leaders in the face of evil – most especially this night.

‘Lent Prose (Attende, Domine)’, based on a traditional Gaelic Christian prayer text, composed by John Rutter (1945 – ). Recorded remotely by the Choral Scholars of St Martin-in-the-Fields Church in their homes, and edited together.

Photographs this week are from St Peter’s Church, Blackpool, where Judith C from our congregation now worships http://www.stpeterschurchblackpool.co.uk/ founded in 1910.
