Evening Prayer Wednesday October 13th 2021

Our prayers examine scripture and support our response in a prayerful and reflective way. Dom, Judith and Amabel lead Evening and Morning Prayer this week. Evening Prayer – Judith reflects on our day, encouraging us she recites a traditional Celtic prayer; May the road rise to meet you, may the wind be always at your back, may the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of his hand. Amen.

Music: We Plough The Fields & Scatter, music by J. Shulz (- 1800), arranged by Revd. J. B. Dyke (- 1876), lyrics by M Claudius (1740 – 1815), translated by J. M. Campbell (1817 – 1878). Recorded remotely by the choral scholars of St Martin-in-the-Fields Church in their homes and edited together.
