Children and Young People

We believe children and young people are a vital part of our church family.
Whether it’s on Sundays or during the week, we’re always looking for ways to help them feel at home, grow in faith, and find their place in our community.

Sundays:

  • St Luke’s – No formal children’s group yet, but many children join in and take part with their families.
  • St Thomas’ – Children’s Church most Sundays; when not, we make space for children in the service.
  • St Richard’s – Monthly intergenerational gathering with creative, hands-on activities for children.
  • All-Age Services – Special family-friendly services at St Luke’s and St Thomas’ during the year.

During the Week:

  • Play Café – Weekly stay and play at St Richard’s 10-11.30am
  • Monthly Youth Gathering – involves pizza, games and delving into the questions that really matter for young people (Secondary school age 11-18)
  • Film Club – every second Saturday of the month for 12-18 year olds. It’s a fun, safe, and supportive space for young people to hang out with friends and make new ones. Film, Pizza and Games
  • Messy Church – a form of church for children and adults that involves creativity, celebration and hospitality. This happens 6 times per year and meets at St Richard’s on a Saturday afternoon
