A husband and wife team read our Evening Prayer this week – Hugh’s turn tonight and he prays for us to be filled with God’s Holy Spirit – even if this presents challenges. Hugh asks that we have the courage to speak out and not accept prejudice, and to be filled with God’s compassion and gentleness when people need someone to care, to befriend, to accept, and to love them.
