Evening Prayer Tuesday May 18th 2021

Rob recites Psalm 68, asking our Father of the fatherless, defender of widows, protector of the solitary, home to the homeless and a place of freedom for prisoners; “you make your home among the weak, you deliver us from death, you bring us joy beyond our imagining.” Rob reminds us of ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ this week, where we pray for five individuals, and that Spring is a metaphor for this, for change. Some changes we eagerly await and plan for while others arrive uninvited. To all these changes Rob prays that Christ’s perspective will beckon us to expectation, hope, and rebirth, for a new life and discernment for us all, as we enter a new phase during this pandemic.
