Deborah leads Morning and Evening prayer this week. Morning Prayer – Deborah considers a passage from Mark’s gospel, chapter 13, verses 1 – 13. This scripture examines Jesus’ warning to his disciples about the catastrophic future awaiting Jerusalem and the his own disciples – who would be persecuted for following him; “Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death; and you will be hated by all because of my name. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.”
