Matilda leads both Morning and Evening Prayer this week. Today’s Advent Morning Prayer – Matilda considers a passage from Matthew’s gospel, chapter 19, verses 1 to 12. This scripture considers Jesus’ response to Pharisees, who constantly tried to catch Jesus out as he taught in front of huge crowds; “Some Pharisees came to him, and to test him they asked, ‘Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any cause?’”
