Roberta is a SPA at St Luke’s church – and she leads both Morning and Evening Prayer this week. Morning Prayer – Roberta reads a passage from Galatians Chapter 1, where Paul the Apostle continues to write letters to those he supports in faith – to Christians living in Galatia (now in modern day Turkey). This scripture considers Paul’s response to the very law-based approach of some Christians – Galatians 1 is where Paul reminds his flock to follow a God of grace and love; “Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to set us free from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be the glory for ever and ever. Amen.”
We pray for the people of Ukraine and Russia, for world peace, for wise decision-making and the moral integrity of all world leaders – most especially this morning.
