  1. My deepest condolences Ali for the sad loss of your son.

You are very brave to share your loss and grief with us.

God bless, comfort and strengthen you & family always.

    Kind regards,
    Roy

    1. Thank you very much for your best wishes and response to our congregation’s Easter witness podcasts, and for your empathy, Roy.

The death of our oldest son – under very different circumstances from Jesus’ death – will always be with us, and we miss him .

My message as a mother who lives with the death of our oldest son, is one of hope -particularly on Easter Saturday. I talk about our son’s short life – at the risk of boring people or making them uncomfortable – to keep the conversation open about children dying.

Hopefully this dispels silence and loneliness for some families, who might feel totally isolated when their child dies. Our son died at Easter – which somehow chimes even more with this time, in that our neighbours, close friends, family and total strangers bravely joined with us in our grief.

      Best wishes,
      Ali.

      1. Well said Ali. Your message is indeed touching and a hopeful one for everyone especially those whose children have died.
        Thank you.
        Take care,
        Roy
