Michael leads both Morning and Evening Prayer this week. Morning Prayer – Michael reads a passage from the First Epistle of Paul to Timothy, chapter 5, verses 1 to 16. This scripture considers the Apostle Paul’s advice, given to his younger colleague Timothy about how Timothy and all who follow Jesus should live in relationship with one another as a community – with respect, honour, responsibility, kindness and consideration; “Do not speak harshly to an older man, but speak to him as to a father, to younger men as brothers, to older women as mothers, to younger women as sisters—with absolute purity.”
