Morning Prayer Friday July 16th 2021

Revd. Bennett leads both Morning and Evening Prayer this week. Today’s Morning Prayer – Bennett considers a passage from Luke’s gospel, chapter 22 verses 1 to 13. This describes the festival of Unleavened Bread – ‘Passover’… at this time the Scribes and Chief Priests from the temple were looking for excuses to silence Jesus by turning him over to the Roman authorities, to put him to death as a trouble maker; “Then Satan entered into Judas called Iscariot, who was one of the twelve; he went away and conferred with the chief priests and officers of the temple police about how he might betray him to them.”
