Father and son Peter and Michael, lead both Morning and Evening Prayer this week. Today’s Morning Prayer – Michael considers a passage from Matthew’s gospel, chapter 11 verses 2 to 19. This scripture describes Jesus’ reflection on his and John the Baptist’s treatment at the hands of those they tried to teach; “‘John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, “He has a demon; the Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say,”Look, a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!” Yet wisdom is vindicated by her deeds.'”
