Roberta is a SPA at St Luke’s church – and she leads both Morning and Evening Prayer this week. Morning Prayer – Roberta reads a passage from the first book of Galatians, Chapter 2, verse 11 to the end, where Paul the Apostle writes to a group of early Christian communities in Galatia (now part of modern day Turkey). This scripture explains Paul’s message, that God’s gift of forgiveness is received through our faith; “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not nullify the grace of God; for if justification comes through the law, then Christ died for nothing.”
We pray for the people of Ukraine and Russia, for world peace, for wise decision-making and the moral integrity of all world leaders – most especially this morning.
