Revd. Liz leads both Morning and Evening Prayer this week. Today’s Christmas Morning Prayer – Liz considers a passage from the Book of Acts, chapter 6. This scripture describes how the religious establishment continued to instigate trouble for Jesus and his disciples. This passage describes Stephen’s treatment at the hands of some who attended a local synagogue; “‘…for we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place and will change the customs that Moses handed on to us.’ And all who sat in the council looked intently at him, and they saw that his face was like the face of an angel.”
