Supporting Ukrainian Families in Greenwich

Revd Liz writes…

We have been asked by Ukrainian Support Greenwich if we can bring some light into the lives of refugee families this Christmas. This charity aims to ensure new arrivals are supported and welcomed in Greenwich. Almost 2 years into the war in Ukraine, Greenwich is home to many Ukrainians who are a long way from home. It would be wonderful if we could let them know the churches are thinking and praying for them at Christmas through the gift of supermarket vouchers!

If you’re able to buy a voucher for Aldi, Lidl, Sainsbury’s, Asda or Tesco, then we’ll make sure they find their way to the refugee families who could benefit most on their second Christmas away from home. Any value voucher £10 and above is welcome.

Last year, with other churches in the area, we managed a fantastically generous response. This year we’ve been asked to provide vouchers for 27 families – a total of 71 people. If we could manage £20 a head, that would be wonderful!

PLEASE BRING YOUR VOUCHERS TO ST LUKE’S OR ST THOMAS AND DROP THEM IN THE MARKED BOX. DEADLINE SUNDAY 10 DECEMBER
